Is it acceptable for me to just make a blank blog post?
I don't feel like I have anything valuable to put out there. Truly, I'm better at giving a speech or just having a conversation with someone. The words don't always come very easily for me when I'm writing and I've never really excelled at it.
I love to read classic literature and poetry, but I am no author.
But here we are. A blog. An online journal, of sorts, to document my life, my memories, and the memories of others!
I’ve heard people say that we all have something to bring to the table. Something that is worth saying, worth hearing, even when we don't feel like it. So I'm taking a leap of FAITH and giving this a shot.
I'm just going to pretend that we are sitting together, over a cup of coffee or chai tea, having a chat. How does that sound?
As a wife, a home-school mother of three, and a wedding photographer, life can be chaotic and messy and just downright crazy!
But I read somewhere recently that,
"through your mess, He writes your message."
And boy oh boy, am I holding on to that one! I want others to know that it’s okay to show up as they are. That they don’t have to pretend to have it all together because I most certainly do not always have my shit together! Brittin Oakman writes,
“Being our messy, imperfect, authentic selves helps create a space where others feel safe to be themselves, too. Your vulnerability can be a gift to others, how badass is that?”
I LOVE that! Don’t you?
Feel like getting vulnerable? Remember, it’s just us two (sitting over coffee or chai or whatever your beverage of choice is!) having a conversation with one another. You don’t have to hold back here. You are safe to be you. Imperfect, messy, and all.
Comment below and let’s talk about ways that we can show up and be our imperfect, authentic selves!
See you around,
